The last surviving member of his colony, Pete lost his home and family in a vicious bird attack. This has left him a bit shaken up and EXTREMELY cowardly. I'd feel bad for him, his backstory is sad and all, and he HAS grown a little stronger from it and can hold his ground when absolutely necessary, but just know that in a test of bravery he'd abandon you in a heartbeat.
